Between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. beginning June 9 into July, Tri-State Utilities will be installing liners to repair or rehabilitate sanitary sewer mains maintained by the King George Service Authority (KGSA) in various streets and easements in Dahlgren. Workers and their equipment will be accessing sewer manholes to install the liners, so work will be conducted in and along roadways. Properties affected by the installation will be notified in advance by Tri-State Utilities.
To keep your sewer lateral from backing up, please do not run water while crews are installing liners in front of your property, including flushing toilets, taking showers, running dishwashers, doing laundry, etc. Due to pressure from installation, it is recommended that you place a towel over your toilet bowl and close the seat to limit possible spray from spilling onto your bathroom floor. This is a precautionary measure and is recommended but not necessary. There may be steam vented into the air, which is harmless. Once crews have left for the day, your sewer lateral is fully functional and you may resume regular use.
