On March 22, 2020 at 10:46 Hrs, Units were dispatched to a Mobile Home that had a possible fire in the attic from the chimney on Ella LN. Caller advised the fire was put out by the homeowner, but he would like the fire department to come check it. Units arrived on scene with nothing evident from all sides. Smoke was still coming from the chimney and Upon entering the residence it was noticed there was an area that showed warm on the thermal imaging camera in the ceiling adjoining the chimney pipe. The ceiling and wall in the area around the chimney pipe was removed to find smoldering insulation and embers still burning. Using a pressurized water extinguisher, the area was wet down and removed. E1 operator wetted material down the debris in the side yard with a garden hose. Electrical wires had been damaged by the fire, so the panel box was located and main breaker secured. Homeowner was advised to discontinue use of the wood stove and leave electrical off to the residence until repairs could be made by a qualified repairman. Units returned to service at 12:11 Hrs.
