[ARCHIVED] Structure Fire -

On September 03, 2019 @ 17:20 hrs, Units were dispatched for the kitchen fire in residential structure in the 13000 Block of Dahlgren RD. EMS1 first to Arrive on scene reporting fire in the kitchen side C of the structure. RE2 & E1 arrive on scene began fire attack. TK28 AOS laddered the roof. BATT 1 established command single story home on a basement all occupants are out. Fire was quickly extinguished contained to the kitchen stove and immediate surrounding area. Ceiling and wall pulled to check for extension. none found. Primary and Secondary searches performed- noone found.. PPV to remove smoke and check for extension in attic- none found. Used PPV to remove smoke from basement. Assisted occupants in removing their pets and other personal belongings. Atmospheric monitoring found only low levels of CO less than 5ppm.  Occupant stated that she was in process of preparing dinner- heating oil for french fries/chicken nuggets when the fire ignited.  Family of 4 living in home-will be staying with family. Dominion Power contacted to secure the electrical meter.
