[ARCHIVED] MVA into tree w/ Entrapment - Millbank RD

On October 22, 2019 @ 07:24 hrs, Units were dispatched for a vehicle accident with injury on Millbank RD - Additional reports indicated a person possibly entrapped. On arrival found a Pt. laying in the roadway beside a vehicle with major damage from striking a tree. Crews began assessing the scene and determined that a second occupant was significantly pinned in passenger seat of the vehicle. Crews began stabilizing the vehicle for extrication and assessing the victims for injury severity.  It was determined that both occupants were priority 1 and air medi vac helicopters were requested for both occupants to be flown to the hospital. The flight request were turned down by multiple helicopters due to the weather and ground transport was required for both occupants. M1 package the driver for priority 1 transport to the hospital while the passenger was extricated, packaged and transported to the hospital priority 1 by M3.  Crews on scene assisted with cleanup of equipment and were returned to service as equipment was available.  The scene was turned over to law enforcement for investigation.
