On January 10, 2020 at 14:46 hrs, Units were dispatched for a public service for a broken water pipe leaking water into the basement of a residence. Units arrived to find a plastic water pipe leading into a water purifier broken off, and water readily coming out. The resident had used multiple trashcans to try and collect as much water as possible. Water was still throughout the basement. Water was shut off via valve from inside the residence. Squeegee’s were utilized to remove as much water as possible. The resident was shown where the main water shut off was located in the event another pipe break occurs. Resident advised she already called a plumber to work on restoring water. Fire department units returned to service at 15:29 hrs.
