Planning & Zoning refers to the King George County Zoning Ordinance to determine how property can and cannot be used to promote the health, safety and general welfare of the public; we assist the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Wetlands Board & our citizens with planning and zoning-related issues. These issues may include but are not limited to the reduction or prevention of traffic congestion, the facilitation of creating a convenient and attractive community, the protection of historical areas, the encouragement of economic development, the protection against overcrowding of land and the preservation of agricultural and forestal land.
